How to Attend the Global Ataxia Support Group
We have been holding our Global Ataxia Support Group (GASG) meetings for around 2 years now.
The meetings are a great forum for Ataxians, caregivers, friends, and relatives to share their struggles and get some relief from others going through the same things.
To attend a meeting, read below for instructions.
- REGISTER
- Go to the GASG.
- Click the REGISTER NOW button beneath the meeting you wish to attend.
- On the form provided, fill in your first name, last name, and email address. Then click the blue REGISTER button.
- You’ll be taken to a page confirming your registration. You’ll also be sent a registration confirmation to the email you registered with.
- TO ADD TO YOUR CALENDAR
- To set up a reminder for the meeting, go back to the confirmation email that was sent to you.
- Scroll down until you see “Add to Calendar”. You may choose the 1stoption, ‘Add to Google Calendar’ or ‘Add to Yahoo Calendar,’ depending on what you use.
- Once you’ve added it to your calendar, you may add different notifications depending on your needs.
- SETUP
- Prior to the meeting (a few minutes, hours or days earlier), click the “Join Meeting” button in your email or the link in your calendar. This is to test that the link is working. If it is working, you should see the correct meeting time appear on the screen.
- If you’ve never been to the meetings, it’s a good idea to sign in a few minutes earlier than the meeting start time. This is to give you a chance to introduce yourself and get to know the people that may already be there.
