The book is a heartbreaking story of love and loss in the struggle with the inherited disease, ataxia. Shirley bares her heart as she tells the story of losing her husband and two sons while striving, through the years to overcome this tragic disease. Her tenacity and vulnerability invite the reader to enter the story and leave with a more compassionate heart.
