Ishani Mahajan – Volunteer Profile
Hello HFA! I’m Ishani Mahajan, a 14-year-old who started her volunteering journey at HFA in March 2021 as a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator.
The attraction I had towards this cause was that many people around me weren’t aware of Ataxia, which shows that by contributing towards this non-profit I would be able to make more people aware & understand Ataxia via our social media like Instagram, Facebook etc.
The motivation I have to continue to stay involved are the viewers, our team has seen a huge growth in followers in the past couple of months on our social media platforms which shows that people from around the world are getting aware & are ready to learn more about Ataxia, which could be with speakers, social media post, breakout session and a lot more ways!
My activities at HFA as a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator consist of creating content calendars, creating images for Instagram, writing captions, posting images via Instagram or Buffer etc. All of this together creates awareness for our followers & to stay up to date for new updates each day. In my opinion, the most important work that this organization does is stays connected with their followers & supports each person every day!
The organization finds different ways to make their followers engaged to learn; just like I am!
Every meeting there are new ideas we are discussing to make the organization better, both Courtney & Mark come up with incredible ideas which makes me, our team & followers more excited. I hope that in the near future Hope for Ataxia achieves to become a bigger organization as this organization has helped me grow & think with a new perspective.
A message I would like to share is that always do something which will make you a better person in the world, this will help you to grow, make you learn new things & most importantly become a person that looks up to YOU!
